Season Review 2026
The Review of Season 2026 for the IC2C Tri Crew!
Andrew competing at Knockburn Standard Triathlon early September.
Andrew’s A race was in September at the Knockburn Standard Triathlon. He was hoping for a podium in his age group and managed a very respectable 5th. Swim and Bike in particular were excellent. His other goal was a 5k PB in the 1st quarter of the year and he achieved that with a 20.50. He completed the East Fortune Duathlon, the Trythan sprint and finished off with a fabulous podium finish at the Gordonstoun sprint in late September. The main goal for 2027 year is a 70.3 at the Cotswolds in June as Andrew starts to go longer. With his strong swimming, strong biking and ever improving running there is great potential for excellent results in his age group.
Calum after completing Bolton 70.3 in sub 6 hours.
Calum’s A race was the Bolton 70.3 in June which he hoped to complete in sub 6 hours. With a lot of committed and focused training he finished in 5hrs 44 mins. In the build up Calum completed the Inverness HM in 1.27 and his first ever Etape Loch Ness. Over the rest of the season Calum did the Speyside Sprint, the Nairn HM and the Loch Ness 10k in very competitive times for his age group. Calum’s big goal next year is a full Ironman in Estonia and his potential for some really fast times is excellent. His swimming and biking are coming on really quickly so coupled with his already fast run…..watch this space.
Vicky after completing Bolton 70.3 in just over 6.5 hours.
Vicky was also targeting Bolton 70.3 and finished in an amazing 6.34 after aiming to compete between 6.30 and 7. Vicky completed the IHM and Etape as preparation races and took part in a Hyrox in March. It was challenging fitting it all in but with a lot of hard work and commitment she made it work. Vicky completed the Speyside triathlon to practice open water and transitions in the lead up to Bolton, and took on and finished the Highland fling at the end of August. An incredible achievement. And on the back of Bolton finished the Nairn sprint in July. An awesome season of racing. Vicky is targeting a full IM in 2027.
Aaron after completing his first full marathon sub 4 hours!
Aaron finished the Loch Ness Marathon in a phenomenal sub 4 time of 3.50 for his first marathon performance in September. He followed the plan, executed the key sessions well, and overcame some niggles in the run up to smile his way round the marathon. An amazing achievement despite having just one half marathon in the bank for experience. Some fast runs ahead for Aaron with continued committed and consistent training.
